Issue Details

I purchased a LabVIEW third-party toolkit from NI, such as Arduino™ Compatible Compiler for LabVIEW by Aledyne-TSXperts or Python Integration Toolkit for LabVIEW by Enthought.
I am not able to activate the license either automatically through Internet connection or manually. How can I activate the license?

Perform the following steps:
  1. Check in you e-mail inbox and look for an e-mail sent by address. This mail contains a license ID and a password
  2. Launch LabVIEW with administrator privileges by right-clicking LabVIEW.exe and selecting Run as Administrator. This is necessary in order for the activation to become permanent.
  3. Open the Third Party Add-On Activation Wizard in LabVIEW by clicking Help » Activate Add-ons....
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. When prompted use the provided License ID and Password in the appropriate fields and click Activate

Additional Information

If the you are unable to activate the software and get the message Error: INVALID LFHANDLE, it is recommended that you upgrade to at least LabVIEW 2017 SP1 before attempting to activate the 3rd-party software.

In case you cannot find the e-mail with the activation code, check in your SPAM. Also, it is possible the activation e-mail was sent to the purchasing manager and not to the end-user.

If you are still unable to find this email, contact NI via mail to with the following pieces of information:

  • Order Number from the Purchase Order
  • Part Number or Product Name
  • Contact Information (e-mail address, phone number, etc)

Note: Third-Party Add-Ons for LabVIEW are offered by independent third-party providers who are solely responsible for these products. Contact your third-party provider to get activation instructions/support for third party add-ons.
