I have an RMX-4101 power supply that I would like to control through LabVIEW. What driver do I need and how do I install it?

The RMX-4101 requires the NI RMX-410x Power Supplies driver. The RMX-410x is a plug and play instrument driver, so the installation process is different as compared to other NI drivers, such as NI-DCPOWER. Follow the steps below to complete the installation:
  1. Identify which version of the driver best fits your application based on supported devices, OS and application software.
  2. Download and extract the .zip file hosted on the download page.
  3. Open the folder for the extracted file and move the contents to one of the following directories dependent on your LabVIEW version:
  • For 32-bit LabVIEW: <National Instruments>\LabVIEW XXXX\instr.lib
  • For 64-bit LabVIEW: <National Instruments>\LabVIEW XXXX\instr.lib

"XXXX" refers to your LabVIEW version.
Upon completing these steps, the API for communicating with the RMX-4101, RMX-4102 or RMX-4104 will be available in the Instrument I/O section of your LabVIEW Functions Palette.
