Switch IP Address Without Restarting Using VxWorks or PharLap

Issue Details

  • I am trying to switch the IP address of my cRIO running VxWorks without restarting the cRIO.  Is this possible?
  • Can I receive a second DHCP request after I have booted my VxWorks cRIO?

Solution

You can only change network settings on VxWorks or PharLap devices by rebooting the device.  This includes receiving a second IP address via DHCP.
