"No Software Will be Installed or Removed" When I Try to Install the TDM Excel Add-in

Issue Details

When I try to install the TDM Excel Add-in for Microsoft Excel, I see the message No software will be installed or removed. Why is this happening? How can I fix this?

Why is this happening?

This message is displayed when the installer finds that an Add-on or driver is already installed on the computer. Determine what NI software is already installed on the computer.

How can I fix this for TDM Excel Add-in installations?

Follow the installation instructions as specified on the download page .
- You can find the nitdmexcel_17-0-0.exe file in C:\Users\"username"\Downloads.
If you do not see the TDM Importer toolbar in Excel, set the TDM importer to active.
- Click File » Options » Add-ins.
- Next to Manage, select COM add-ins and click GO.

- In the popup box, put a check mark next to National Instruments TDM Importer for MS Excel and click ok.
