Error -200862 When Simulating PXI(e) Device

Issue Details

I am simulating two or more PXI(e) devices in NI MAX. When I try to create a task in MAX or LabVIEW using these simulated devices, I get the following error: 
Error -200862 One or more devices from a multiple device task are in an unidentified PXI chassis, which is not supported. Identify the PXI chassis in MAX.

Solution

This error can occur if your simulated devices are not in the same simulated chassis. To resolve this you will need to re-create your simulated devices in NI-MAX and verify that the selected chassis is the same for all modules included in the same task.
