How do I reset my FP-160x module's IP address?

Follow these instructions to reset the IP address:
  1. Power down the FieldPoint network module.
  2. Move the RESET DIP switch on the front of the module to the ON position, as shown in the following illustration.

  3. Power up the FieldPoint network module and wait for the red STATUS LED to start flashing once every three seconds, indicating reset mode.  Flashing any other number of times indicates an error.  Please consult the Product Manual: FP-1601 User Manual on pages 59-60.
  4. Move the RESET switch back to the OFF position.
  5. Cycle the FieldPoint network module's power by disconnecting and reconnecting the power source.
  6. Open Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) by going to Start » All Programs » National Instruments » Measurement & Automation.
  7. If MAX was already open, refresh it by going to View » Refresh or by pressing F5.
  8. In the Configuration section of MAX, expand Remote Systems. You should now see your FieldPoint network module under Remote Systems.
  9. Select your device and in the Network Settings tab you should see that the IP address, Subnet mask, Gateway, DNS server, and Time Server are set to 0.0.0.0., as shown in the following image.

Make sure you click Apply once you have entered the new information in MAX.
