What steps do I need to complete to initialize and use the NI USB key or dongle for licensing?

To install the USB Key Driver, you will need to download the attached driver files and run the haspdinst.exe installer from the command prompt window. Download if you are using a 32-bit version of Windows and download if you are using a 64-bit version of Windows.

Installing/Uninstalling the Driver:
  1. Open up the Windows command prompt by clicking on the Windows 'Start' button and searching for 'cmd'.
  2. In the command prompt window, paste the file path of the haspdinst.exe installer, inside of the appropriate driver folder.
    • Installing the driver: Immediately after the file path, add " -i" and press enter. This should install the driver to your computer.
    • Uninstalling the driver: Follow the steps for installing the driver, but instead of adding " -i" to the command prompt line, add " -r".
