Error 6 at TDMS Open When Logging to a USB Drive on the CompactRIO

Issue Details

I am logging to an external USB drive. My CompactRIO crashes after 7,000 TDMS files are acquired, and Error 6 shows up
 
Error 6 Occurred in Untitled 1

Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: Generic file I/O error
Whenever I run my program again, the same error occurs and no files get written. Why is this happening?

First, ensure that the error is not being caused due to any of the reasons in this KnowledgeBase Article: Error 6: Generic File I/O Error in LabVIEW

Additional Information

There is a known issue (Bug #695246) with logging to USB drives on some of our CompactRIO (cRIO) products.
You may also consider logging your data on your host PC by using network streams to send the data to the host, or to log directly to disk (a directory on the cRIO).
