Technical Problem When Activating Vision Development Module Runtime Engine

Issue Details

I am trying to generate activation codes for the Vision Development Module (VDM) Runtime Engine using the NI Product Activation website. However, I get the following error:

We have encountered a technical problem.

Please try again later or contact us for assistance.

Solution

Select the option Vision Runtime from the dropdown menu instead of Vision Development Module Runtime Engine (FRC). You should be able to successfully generate a code for this software.

Additional Information

Vision Development Module Runtime Engine (FRC) is a version of the Runtime Engine distributed to students participating in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Therefore, it uses a different license than our standard distribution of the VDM Runtime Engine, which goes by the name "Vision Runtime" in this menu.
