Issue Details

I have a LabVIEW program that I am running on my PC and would like to run it on a Linux real-time target. Can I run my regular VI on the real-time target?

Solution

You can run a VI on a real-time target as long as if does not contain any of the unsupported features. For a list of these features, see Unsupported LabVIEW Features on NI Linux Real-Time Targets.

Additional Information

For information on setup and configuration for real-time targets, see Converting a Desktop PC to a LabVIEW Real-Time Target.

To get started with building a real-time VI in LabVIEW that includes deterministic timing, see Building a Real-Time System With NI Hardware and Software.
