Not Able to Click on Self-Test in NI MAX

Issue Details

My DAQ device shows up in Windows Device Manager and in NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). However, I can't click on Self-Test either at the top of the window or in the right-click menu for my device.
I can see my C series module on NI Measurement & Automation Explorer, but when I right click on it, the Self-Test option is grayed out.

Solution

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

Self-Test is a function supported only by devices that support NI-DAQmx. There are some C series modules such as the NI-9381 that don't support DAQmx and therefore this option won't be available on NI MAX. Refer to Software Support for CompactRIO, CompactDAQ, Single-Board RIO, R Series, and EtherCAT to check what programming modes are supported by your device.
Refresh NI MAX by selecting the device on NI MAX and clicking Refresh.

Reset your device by clicking Reset, either at the top of the window (above) or in the right-click menu (below).

Reset the NI MAX configuration data. Before performing this step, you may want to save your NI MAX System Configuration by exporting it.
