Using NI Software Downloaded in ISO File Format

Issue Details

I just downloaded some NI software that is distributed in the form of an ISO file. What is this file type and how do I use it?

Solution

An ISO file is an image of a complete CD or DVD. It can either be installed on the machine it was downloaded on, or it can be written to disc for installation on other systems. NI distributes offline installers and some software on the web in this form, but these files are not specific to NI. Refer to documentation for your OS for information on using ISO files.

Additional Information

If you encounter problems using an offline installer, disconnect your computer from the network and restart the offline installer. At some point, during the installation, the offline installer tries to connect to the internet, which might lead to unexpected issues.
