Issue Details

My company is considering using a Volume License Agreement with a floating network license and do not have a server for it. Can we use a laptop to host the VLM server?

Solution

Yes, you can use a laptop to host the your Volume License server as you would a desktop. There are no hardware limitations, so this should not cause any issues. If you do this be sure to keep the laptop connected to the company network to not lose connection. Also, it is recommended to have the laptop easily accessible in case other members need to access the server.
