Prologix GPIB-USB Device Not Showing up in NI-MAX

Issue Details

My Prologix GPIB-USB device is not showing up in NI-MAX even when I have the NI-VISA and NI-Serial Drivers. 

I can see that a COM port has been added on NI-MAX so I know that the device is there but is not being recognized correctly.
  • Do I have the incorrect drivers?
  • Will I be able to use my device in other software as LabVIEW?

Solution

Prologix devices are not expected to show up in NI-MAX, however you will be able to use them in programming environments with the appropiate drivers.

The drivers you will need to interact with your Prologix devices are NI-VISA and NI-Serial.
