1. Check your device is detected in NI-MAX. If not, follow the steps in the following link : CompactRIO C Series Modules Not Showing in NI Measurement & Automation Explorer. If you are connected locally to your PC, you can also try connecting your cRIO to the network through Ethernet connection.2. Is your cRIO compatible with LabVIEW NXG ? CompactRIO Controllers. 3. Check in NI-MAX that NI CompactRIO driver is installed4. Verify that LabVIEW NXG FPGA and LabVIEW NXG Real-Time Modules are installed. 5. Add the device manually by selecting Add hardware in SystemDesigner and using the IP address as shown below :
