JKI VI Package Manager (VIPM) Crashes After Splash Screen

Issue Details

I installed VIPM and when I try to start it, it shows the splash screen and then closes. I have tried to remove and reinstall without success. How can I fix it?


  1. Try to start VIPM as administrator
  2. If the above did not resolve the problem, uninstall VIPM and remove the following folders: 
    • C:\Program Files (x86)\JKI\VI Package Manager
    • C:\ProgramData\JKI\VIPM
  3. Afterwards install VIPM using the installer from JKI
  4. If the issue persists search or post on the VIPM Community Forum, or contact JKI's Support

Additional Information

The ProgramData folder may be hidden. To reveal it in the Windows File Explorer select View>>Hidden items.
