DIAdem Datafinder Cannot Start Due to Error 61

Issue Details

When I start DIAdem I receive Error 61 and the following error message which states:

DataFinder Cannot Start Due to an Internal Error
(61): Unexpected exception occured



 

Solution

This error can be usually resolved by resetting the MyDataFinder. To reset the MyDataFinder perform the following steps:
  1. Open DIAdem
  2. Open DIAdem NAVIGATOR by clicking on NAVIGATOR on the modul bar
  3. Click on Settings in the menu bar and choose MyDataFinder
  4. Choose Reset and and the window below opens
  5. Choose now Reset index and configuration and click Execute
  6. Afterwards the MyDataFinder starts indexing
