Error -1074396155 occurs at "IMAQ Grab Acquire VI" running EXE

Issue Details

Running EXE to acquire images from CameraLink Camera with PCIe-1430, an error is thrown.


Error -1074396155 occurred at IMAQ Grab Acquire.vi:2200001

Possible reason(s):
NI Vision did not initialize properly. 


I use LabVIEW 2019 with Vision Acquisition Software 19.0 and Vision Development Module 2019.

Solution

There is a bug found for building any VI that uses "IMAQ Grab Acquire VI" or "IMAQ Copy Acquired Buffer VI" into an executable throws error -1074396155 NI Vision did not initialize properly.  This issue has been reported since release of NI-IMAQ 19.0.

Workaround:
1) Use "IMAQ Extract Buffer VI" if possible OR NI-IMAQdx if the board is supported.
2) If your LabVIEW version is compatible, upgrade to the latest 2020 version of the vision driver in which the bug has been fixed.
