I Can't Find the RIO Device Setup Tool

Issue Details

I can not find the RIO Device Setup Tool. What software should I put on my computer that does not have LabVIEW in order to get the RIO Device Setup Tool?
 

Solution

The RIO Device Setup Tool is installed with the NI R Series Multifunction RIO Device Drivers and the NI CompactRIO Drivers.

To be sure you will have the RIO Device Setup Tool in your computer you must include "Development Support" in the driver installation for at least one LabVIEW version (preferably the most recent, or the one used to develop the code), as you can see on the next pictures:

After install the drivers be sure to restart your computer.

 

Additional Information

If you are using NI Package Manager to install the drivers, you need to install the NI R  Series LabVIEW 20xx Support package. Alternatively, you can also copy the RIO Device Setup Tool from an older machine and install the necessary LabVIEW Runtime Engine.
