Issue Details

  • I am using a custom runtime menu, and I can run my VI successfully in the development environment, but when I try to build it, the build fails with error 1.

Solution

First validate that the error occurs due to the custom runtime menu. Change the configuration back to default, and try to build the application again. If it is successful now, the custom runtime menu is the cause of the problem.

The most likely reason for this is a partly corrupt LabVIEW installation. The easiest way to fix this, is to either reinstall and reinstall LabVIEW, or force reinstall LabVIEW.
