Issue Details

I am using a counter module to generate a clock on a digital output (PFI) using an external clock instead of the 10MHz chassis. But when I measure the frequency of the generated signal, I can see that the frequency is inaccurate.

As you are using an external clock to source your counter, the frequency accuracy of the counter will be driven by the frequency accuracy of your external clock, but also by the frequency you are sourcing :
  • The more accurate the frequency you are sourcing, the more accurate will beĀ the generated frequency.
  • The higher the frequency you are sourcing, the higher the resolutionĀ  of the generated frequency will be.
