Issue Details

  • I'm about to install the RIO drivers and modules in my computer but I'm not sure if I have to do it in a specific order.

Solution

When you are working with Real-Time targets, you need to install the required drivers and modules in a certain order.

If you are working with CompactRIO, the correct order is:
1. Install LabVIEW
2. Install the LabVIEW Real-Time Module.
3. Install the LabVIEW FPGA Module.
4. Install NI CompactRIO Device Drivers.

If you are working with myRIO, the correct order is:
1. Install LabVIEW
2. Install the LabVIEW Real-Time Module.
3. Install LabVIEW myRIO Toolkit.
4. Install the LabVIEW FPGA Module. (Optional)

Additional Information

If you have already installed the drivers and modules in a different order, you will have to uninstall them and make the installation again using the correct order.
