TDMS Data Appearance When Opened in Excel with TDM Importer

Issue Details

  • When I open my TDMS file in Microsoft Excel, I use TDM Importer as add-in. Even though I write down time stamp information only once in my TDMS file, the importer shows timestamp column for each channel. Why does this happen and how to avoid this ?
  • When I open my TDMS file in Microsoft Excel, the appearance of data sheet looks differently in different computer. Column of time information is added for each channel in one computer, but the other computer shows only one column for time information. Why does this happen ?

Solution

The appearance of data with TDM Importer is configured by configuration window. The difference of appearance depends on whether you select Create time column for each waveform or not. You can find Configure TDM Importer in Add-ins tab.
