Issue Details

When deploying an I/O variable to my Ethernet RIO expansion chassis, following conflict message appears:

The current module settings require NI Scan Engine support on the controller. You can use Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) to install a recommended software set of NI-RIO with NI Scan Engine support on the controller. If LabVIEW FPGA is installed, you can use this module with LabVIEW FPGA by adding an FPGA Target item under the chassis, and drag and drop the module onto the FPGA Target item.

I am using the Ethernet RIO expansion chassis with Scan Interface Mode, and NI Scan Engine support is already installed on the expansion chassis. How can I solve this deployment conflict?

Solution

In order to deploy an I/O variable or user-defined I/O variable under Ethernet RIO expansion chassis, your Ethernet RIO expansion chassis must be in the same subnet as the host PC that you are deploying the variables from.
Make sure to configure the IP address of the host PC and Ethernet RIO expansion chassis so that they are in the same subnet.

Additional Information

Same conflict occurs when deploying shared variables that are bound to the I/O or user-defined variable on the Ethernet RIO expansion chassis if your EthernetRIO expansion chassis is unreachable from your PC's subnet.
