Activating NI Software on a Virtual Machine

Issue Details

I attempt to activate my NI software which is installed on a virtual machine using my serial number or activation code. It gives me an error such as "The license does not correspond to any of the installed products." How can I activate my software? 

Solution

  1. Check the version of NI License Manager you are using. If you are using any version lower than NI License Manager 3.7, update to NI License Manager 3.7 using the download available at this link
  2. Check that your virtual machine software is set to be correctly allowed to access the network. Typically, this is the 'bridge' or 'bridge-mode' setting.
