Error -200077 When Configuring the Input-Range of the NI-9237?

Issue Details

The NI 9237 has an input range of 25 mV for every volt of excitation.  Since this device can provide a maximum excitation voltage of 10 volts, I expect that a maximum input range should be 250 mV.  However, if I configure a task with an input range of more than 25 mV, I get Error -200077 Requested value is not a supported value for this property.

Solution

The NI 9237 is designed specifically to measure bridge sensors. Therefore it makes its measurements in units of mV per volts of excitation. Similarly, the configurable range is also set in mV/V thus the range can be set to a maximum of 25 mV/V, rather than 250 mV. This unit of measurement enables the bridge senor readings to remain fixed regardless of any fluctuations in the excitation voltage.
