Network Shared Variables Not Recognized After Re-Opening LabVIEW Project

Issue Details

I have a project with multiple network-published Shared Variables. Every time I close my project and re-open it, the VIs that use these variables have broken run arrows stating the shared variables are not in the project.


This issue arises when a folder in a project containing Shared Variables is auto-populating and/or in case it is used inside of a class. Turning off auto-populating will fix the issue. Deploying the shared variables afterwards might be necessary once.

There are two possible steps to resolve this issue:
  1. In Project Explorer, navigate to the folder containing the network-published Shared Variables. Right-click it and select Stop Auto-populating. Afterwards, Save your project.
