LabVIEW Evaluation Version Limitations

• What limitations should I expect when using the LabVIEW Evaluation Version? 
• How long can I use a free trial of LabVIEW?

Solution

• You will have the ability to use all VIs included in the Professional Development System, but you will only have access to the block diagrams of the VIs included with the Base Development System.
• Upon installation you will be able to use the fully functional software package for a period of 7 days.
• At the end of the 7 day trial, you will be given the option to extend your evaluation. Read How to Extend the Evaluation Period of NI Software for more information.
• You will have access to the Application Builder but it will have a watermark on the front panel of the built applications. 
• Application Builder cannot use any "Additional Exclusions."

• You will have the ability to use all VIs included in the Professional Development System, but you will only have access to the block diagrams of the VIs included with the Base Development System.
• You may use this version for a maximum of 30 days after the first installation. 
• You will have access to the Application Builder but it will have a watermark on the front panel of the built applications.

• You cannot install the LabVIEW Simulation module.
• You cannot install the System Identification toolkit.

LabVIEW 8.0

• You will have the ability to use all VIs included in the Professional Development System, but you will only have access to the block diagrams of the VIs included with the Base Development System.
• You will have a watermark on the front panel of applications built using the Evaluation Version.
• You may use this version for a maximum of 30 days after the first installation.

• You will have the ability to use all VIs included in the Professional Development System, but you will only have access to the block diagrams of the VIs included with the Base Development System.
• You may run any VI for a maximum of 5 minutes.
• You may use this version for a maximum of 30 days after the first installation.
• You may keep LabVIEW open for a maximum of 30 minutes before you must close and re-launch it.
