Solution

Certain high-resolution computers may experience this problem with a shrunken or enlarged cursor while using LabVIEW.

Shrunken: There has been a bug fix implemented in 2018 SP1, ID 677536. This bug is fixed in LabVIEW 2018 SP1 but this may still be an issue in previous versions.

Enlarged: This is a known issue in LabVIEW 2018 SP1 and later, and it has been reported to NI R&D. Corrective Action Request (CAR) number is 740315.

The following workaround can be used to stop the controller from appearing shrunken or enlarged in both cases:
  • Set the display settings to 100% scaling and 1080p resolution
  • Use a secondary lower resolution monitor for LabVIEW.
To implement this workaround, navigate to the following: Start > Settings > System > Display
