Enable On-The-Fly Reporting or Logging in TestStand

Updated Sep 3, 2020

Environment

Software

  • TestStand

Operating System

  • Windows

By default, TestStand will wait until an execution is complete before logging the results to a database or writing the UUT report file to disk. However, you can configure TestStand to log test data results while an execution runs by enabling On-The-Fly Reporting for reports or On-The-Fly Logging for databases.

  1. In the TestStand Sequence Editor, click on Configure>>Result Processing…
The Result Processing dialog box appears.
  1. Select the Options… icon for the output type you want (report or database).
The Options dialog box for the output type appears.
  1. For reports, enable On-The-Fly Reporting under the Contents tab. When you enable this option, the Only Display Latest Results option becomes available to select as well. Enable Only Display Latest Results if you want TestStand to display the newest results, rather than the entire report.
