Issue Details

When simulating a circuit using the buzzer component, there is no sound from the computer.

How can I get multisim to produce the buzzer sound using this component?

Solution

If You're Running Multisim on Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows XP 64-bit
This sound is no longer supported

If You're Running Multisim on Windows 7 64-bit or Later

You will need to install a driver for your sound card for you to be able to use the buzzer.

Additional Information

Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows XP 64-bit
The reason for this problem is that the Windows beep() system function used by the buzzer is no longer supported in Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows XP 64-bit.

Windows 7 64-bit or Later
The buzzer plays through the sound card, it no longer plays through the motherboard like in earlier versions of Windows.
