Error -229770 at DAQmx Start Task on Ethernet compactDAQ Chassis

Issue Details

I can't drag my tasks from NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) into LabVIEW and the constant for DAQmx Start Task has no options. I am getting Error -229770 at DAQmx Start Task when I try to run it. 

Solution

  • Check if the IP address is shared with another instrument.
  • If it has the same IP address as another device on the network, change the IP address to a unique one using this article: Configure a Static IP Address on Ethernet cDAQ
    • If this is the case, there will be a greyed out cDAQ chassis in NI MAX with the same name as the plugged in cDAQ chassis.
