Prevent Autostart of Shared Variable Engine

How can I prevent the Shared Variable Engine from starting automatically every time I start my computer?

The Shared Variable Engine runs as a Windows Service which is configured to start automatically. To change this to manual follow these steps:
  1. Log in to your Computer with administrative privileges
  2. Open Windows Services
  3. Right Click on NI Variable Engine and select Properties
  4. Set the Startup Type to Manual and click the OK button
This change will take effect with the next start of your computer.
Prior to LabVIEW 2012, NI Variable Engine is listed as National Instruments Variable Engine in Windows Services.
