To enable LabVIEW 2016 support for ADCS 15.0, follow these steps:
- Install LabVIEW 2015 and LabVIEW 2016 or verify that they are both currently installed.
- Install NI-XNET 16.0 or later.
- Run the ADCS 15.0 installer. Within the Features dialog, select LabVIEW 2015 support for installation. The bitness should match the bitness of your LabVIEW 2016 program.
- Complete the ADCS installation, and reboot.
- Open the NI License Manager and activate the LabVIEW/ADCS feature (within the LabVIEW 2015 toolkits).
- In Windows Explorer, open your LabVIEW 2015 folder. The following tables show the default file location

- Copy the following folders and files from the LabVIEW 2015 folder into the LabVIEW 2016 folder:

\help\niadcs.chm \help\niadcs.txt
- In Windows Explorer, open your Shared 2015 folder (One level up from the LV2015DIR).
\Shared\ExampleFinder\1.0\Products\LabVIEW\15.0\exbins\english\lvexadcs.bin4
and copy the lvexadcs.bin4
file into the corresponding LabVIEW 2016 location: \Shared\ExampleFinder\1.0\Products\LabVIEW\16.0\exbins\english\lvexadcs.bin4
- Open LabVIEW 2016. Mass compile the following folders:
\vi.lib\Automotive Diagnostic Command Set
\examples\Automotive Diagnostic Command Set
11. Restart the computer.
