Issue Details

The ready LED does not turn on when I have plugged my USB DAQ device and turned on the power switch. I cannot detect the device in NI MAX. How can I fix this?

Solution

There are two main reasons this could be happening: either the device is not powered or it is not able to communicate with the PC. To identify the source of the problem, perform the following steps.
  1. If the ready light never turns on, ensure the device is being powered appropriately. Refer to your device's User Manual for instructions on powering your device.
  2. If the ready light turns on before blinking off, ensure that you have the correct drivers installed. You can see which drivers are installed by opening up NI MAX and looking under My System>>Software
