Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 Errors When Installing NI Products

Issue Details

When I install NI products, I see one of the following errors:

An error occurred while installing the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 (DN -2145091572). Reboot your computer, exit all other applications, and restart this installer to try again.




or 

Installation Did Not Succeed: .NET Framework 4 has not been installed because:

HRESULT 0x8024800c

Solution

In order to resolve this issue, try the following:
  • Reboot your computer then restart the NI installer. The Microsoft .NET 4.0 installer occasionally errors when installing NI products, resulting in the above error messages.
  • Run the installer as administrator.
