LabVIEW Real-Time Installation Disk May Be Corrupt or Incomplete

Issue Details

  • Attempting to add software on RT PXI or cRIO target
  • I have software installed on my controller. When going into NI MAX and under the software tab, it showed that my controller was connected but no software was installed.
  • Getting the following error
The installation program tried to read a file that does not exist on your system. Your installation disk may be corrupt or incomplete

Additional Information

  • The storage disks on Real-Time targets are similar to computers which can get corrupted
  • Unless you have a backup image of your target the best steps are to reformat
