C Series Module Not Seen In cDAQ-9172, USB-9162, WLS-9163, or ENET-9163

Issue Details

I am trying to use a C Series Module in cDAQ-9172 chassis or in a USB, Wireless, or Ethernet Carrier, but the device cannot be seen in Measurement & Automation Explorer (NI MAX).
 

Solution

The cDAQ-9172, the USB 9162 and the WLS/ENET 9163 only support a subset of the NI C Series modules. For a complete list of which chassis or carriers support which modules, see the C Series Module Compatibility Chart. 

Additional Information

Consider updating to a newer cDAQ chassis for wider compatibility with C series modules.

Also, check compatibility between your module and NI-DAQmx. Some modules have different hardware revisions, such as a DSUB versus a Spring Terminal version, and are supported in different versions of DAQmx

Some C Series Modules will have different connectors, for instance the 9237 comes with an RJ 50 connector or a new D-Sub connector.  With respect to the USB 9162 carrier, the WIFI sleeve and the ENET Sleeves, these are two different modules and currently there is only support for the 9237 and not the 9237 D-Sub.  

The only true way to ensure support for a specific module in the USB sleeve is to consult the specific NI-DAQmx Driver Readme.  This document will contain all the support information needed for the specific driver being used. You can download last version of DAQmx driver from NI website.
