Issue Details

I want to install the LabVIEW Model Interface Toolkit so I can execute models in LabVIEW, but I cannot find a public installer on the NI website for my desired version of the toolkit. How can I install this toolkit?

Solution

The download and installation method for LabVIEW Model Interface Toolkit is different for different versions of the software. See the instructions below for whichever version you would like to download. Please note that the last version available of this toolkit is the 2021 version which is only available for LabVIEW 2021 SP1 (64-bit), this version is not compatible with newer versions of LabVIEW or with LabVIEW 32-bit. For complete software requirements please check the readme file of your specific version at LabVIEW Model Interface Toolkit Release Notes.

LabVIEW Model Interface Toolkit 2019 to 2021

To install this toolkit, simply locate it in NI Package Manager as in the image below, or download it from the LabVIEW Model Interface Toolkit Download page.

LabVIEW Model Interface Toolkit 2018 SP1 and Earlier

In older versions of the software, the primary distribution method for the LabVIEW Model Interface Toolkit was through the VeriStand installer. Complete the below steps to install this toolkit:

  1. Launch the corresponding version of the VeriStand installer, which is available at both the VeriStand Download page and in the form of physical media.
  2. When the installer initializes, press Next.
  3. On the User Information step, select the Install NI VeriStand 20xx Evaluation - Serial number not required option, and press Next.
  4. On the Destination Directory step, make no changes and press Next.
  5. On the Features step, simply make the selections outlined in the image below to install the LabVIEW Model Interface Toolkit without installing VeriStand.

Additional Information

When the installation is complete, you will need to activate the LabVIEW Model Interface Toolkit in NI License Manager or use the NI Licensing Wizard.
