LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolkit Won't Install or Open

Issue Details

I have LabVIEW installed and activated on my PC and I have access to the Database Connectivity Toolkit through my license or service agreement.
However, using my serial number appears to prevent the Database Connectivity Toolkit from installing or the toolkit does not open.

Solution

This behavior could be caused by compatibility with LabVIEW bitness. LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolkit version 2018 and earlier are only compatible with LabVIEW 32-bit and will not work with 64-bit versions of LabVIEW. Support for 64-bit LabVIEW was added in Database Connectivity Toolkit version 2019.

To use the Database Connectivity Toolkit version 2018 and earlier, you will need to:
  1. Download a 32-bit version of LabVIEW. You do not need any additional downloads for the Database Connectivity Toolkit.
  2. Activate the toolkit using NI License Manager.
  3. Open the 32-bit version of LabVIEW and then launch the Database Connectivity Toolkit
If you are using LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolkit version 2019 or later and the error still occurs, that may be caused if the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 Redistributable (64-bit) package is not installed on your computer. To install this package please complete the steps provided in An Error Occurred While Installing the LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolkit.

Additional Information

Starting in LabVIEW 2018, the Database Connectivity Toolkit is included in LabVIEW Professional 32-bit. If you are using this version, no additional installation or activation is necessary.
