Issue Details

I would like to run TestStand sequences on a remote server, thus I am running the TestStand Remote EXE Server application, which can be found at the following path:
<TestStand>\Components\StepTypes\CallExec\remoteserver

However, I can't edit the host name field to reflect the computer I am trying to point to. Host name is locked to my computer name, as shown in the following picture:

Solution

The RemoteEXEServer.exe application is generated as part of the each installation of TestStand.

The application in <TestStand>\Components\StepTypes\CallExec\remoteserver folder will always point to the host computer on which it is found on. If you plan to use remote execution from a host computer to a client computer, you must copy the RemoteEXEServer.exe application from the host computer to the client computer and run it there. It will then correctly point the client to the host.

Additional Information

The Port Number, Password and Log File settings will always be configurable regardless of which computer the application was created on.
