Solution

Perform these steps to install either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of LabVIEW for Linux:

  1. Close all NI software
  2. Download and mount lvXXXXpro-linux.iso
  3. Navigate to the mounted disc image (ex. cd /run/media/username/XXXXLV-LinuxPro)
  4. To install the 64-bit version, run the install script as root (ex. su and enter password, then run ./INSTALL)
  5. To install the 32-bit version, first navigate into the 32-bit sub-directory (ex. cd ./32-bit) and then run the install script as root
  6. After the installation script completes, verify that the software installs correctly. Open LabVIEW and select Help»About LabVIEW and look for, example, 17.0 on the right portion of the window if the LabVIEW version you have installed is 2017
