Issue Details

I want to run two different analog input tasks at the same time but only one runs at a time. I want to create a task in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) that has multiple types of analog measurement inputs.

Solution

  1. Create a new task in MAX.  Right-click Data Neighborhood and select Create New.

  1. In the pop-up "Create New" window, select NI-DAQmx Task and click Next.

  1. Choose Acquire Signals and select your first signal type.
  1. Choose the type of measurement you are interested in.
  1. Select the supported physical channels you are taking the measurement from, then click Next.
  1. Name your task and click Finish.
  2. Now you should be viewing your task.  After configuring your task, click the Add Channels button near the top of the task or in the configuration tab.
  1. Choose the second measurement type and the physical channels from which you are measuring.  At this step, these channels cannot overlap.
  1. Repeat steps seven and eight until all of your measurements are selected.
  2. Save you task.
