I want to create a graph in a DIAdem Report and add a trendline going thorugh the origin. How can I do this?

  1. First, you need to create a graph of your data.
    1. Click on the Report tab in the left-hand side of the DIAdem window.
    2. Right-click on the Sheet 1 tab at the bottom of the window and select Add New Sheet to End.
  1. Click on the 2D Axis Systems icon and then select a Simple 2D Axis System.
  1. Click in the top-left corner of the Display Window and drag the axis out to your desired size.
  1. Now you need to add your data to the Report graph. Click on your data in the Data Portal and drag it into the Display Window.
  1. Now you need to create your trendline using the Approximate function.
    1.  Click on the Analysis tab in the left-hand side of the DIAdem window.
    2. Click on the Curve Fitting icon and then select Approximate.
  1. Select the data you graphed earlier in the Channels to be approximated section. You should see a preview of the trendline set against your data, but the trendline may not be intersecting the origin.
  1. Now you need to force your trendline through the origin.
    1. Uncheck the Constant box to force your trendline through the origin.
    2. Check as many polynomial function boxes as you want, up to ten may be selected.
    3. Click the OK button.
  1. Now you need to add your trendline to the graph. Click back onto the Report tab and drag your newly created trendline from the Data Portal onto your graph.
  1. Your report should now have both your data (in red) and your trendline forced through the origin (in blue) on the same graph.
