Archived:Downloading and Installing DAQExpress Software

You can access the DAQExpress software online only through the NI Package Manager (NIPM).

Note: Installing NIPM replaces the NI Uninstaller. This means you can only uninstall NI software through NIPM. NIPM does not allow you to modify existing software installations, so that capability will be lost when you install it. 
 

Considerations 

DAQExpress Version Update: NI will no longer release new versions DAQExpress software. The last release for DAQExpress was 5.1. Users are encouraged to transition to the FlexLogger™ Lite edition, companion software for compatible DAQ hardware. FlexLogger Lite ensures comprehensive sensor compatibility, instant offline setup, and a programming-free interface for streamlined data logging. Download FlexLogger Lite to simplify data acquisition processes.
 

Before You Begin

Before you begin installation, please make sure you have:

• Already installed the supported version of the NI-DAQmx driver before using DAQExpress, you can check the supported version of DAQExpress under Application Software Support in the NI DAQmx readme. You can find the readme for your version of NI-DAQmx on its release notes page.
• A supported device for DAQExpress even if they are listed as supported under DAQmx. You can find a list of supported hardware in the DAQExpress Manual.

Installing DAQExpress

1. Within NIPM, click the Application Software category on the left menu. 
2. Search DAQExpress in the search bar and select the desired DAQExpress version using the latest NIPM.
3. Click the green Install button.
4. DAQExpress will begin installing.
5. You will be asked to reboot your machine and upon restart, NI DAQExpress will appear under Start»All Programs.
