Issue Details

I have an CompactDAQ Controller with a Mini DisplayPort and I know some computers support multiple monitors using monitor Daisy Chaining or a Multi-Stream Transport (MST) Splitter or Hub. Furthermore, I have seen the specifications from the Intel® Atom™ E3825 or E3845 processor from the CompactDAQ Controller and it mentions the processor can handle up to 2 monitors. Can I connect multiple monitors to the DisplayPort of an CompactDAQ Controller?

It is not possible to use multiple monitors with an CompactDAQ Controller.

As off October, 2016, a processor from the Intel® Atom™ E3800 Processor family is installed in all CompactDAQ Controllers  (cDAQ-9132, cDAQ-9133, cDAQ-9134, cDAQ-9135, cDAQ-9136 and cDAQ-9137).
Multi-display support was added in the DisplayPort Standard Version 1.2 and according to the complete Intel® Atom™ Processor E3800 Datasheet, it supports the DisplayPort Standard Version 1.1 only (page 414).

So, the Intel® Atom™ E3800 Processor family supports dual monitors as long as they are connected to either two of the VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort or DVI ports it can handle. Since the CompactDAQ Controllers that include a Mini DisplayPort (mDP) do not include any other display port type, only one monitor can be connected to them.
