Issue Details

Following an upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10, my FPGA compilation build is taking a very long time. It is getting stuck or frozen at certain steps and stages. Is there an issue with FPGA compilation on Windows 10?

Solution

Starting with the release of the LabVIEW 2018 FPGA Module, full support for Windows 10 has been added for Vivado targets.

Alternatives to using Windows 10 are:

1. Set up Windows 7 virtual machine, install Xilinx Compilation Tools on it.
2. Use FPGA Compile Cloud Server. If you have an SSP service contract, you are able to access our compile server farm using your ni.com account. Activate your account here: ni.com/trycompilecloud.
