Will I be able to connect third-party client, such as OSIsoft PI OPC Interface, to my NI OPC Servers software?

Solution

NI OPC Servers will only allow National Instruments clients to connect. This includes:
  • OPC Client I/O Server (requires LabVIEW DSC Module)
  • DataSockets
  • NI Lookout
  • NI OPC Quick Client
The term NI OPC Servers is specific to the product NI OPC Servers and the NI-specific client limitations does not include OPC UA servers created by the LabVIEW DSC Module or LabVIEW OPC UA Toolkit.
