Issue Details

I have several TestStand sequence files and I want to run some of the sequence files using the default Sequential Process Model and others using a different process model. How do I specify different process models for different sequence files?

Solution

You can specify a process model to be run with a specific sequence file that is being executed. To achieve this, you need to follow these steps:
  1. Open you sequence file
  2. Select Edit»Sequence File Properties to get the Sequence File Properties dialog box for that sequence file as shown below:
  1. Select the Advanced tab to view the advanced properties for the sequence file. One of the options is the Model Option to use for this sequence file. The default setting is set to Use Station Model which uses the process model sequence file as specified in the Configure»Station Options»Model location
  2. For the Model Option, select Require Specific Model and another option will appear called Model File. In this field you can browse to the specific Process Model Sequence File you would like to use for that specific sequence.

Additional Information

Setting the model to be used in Sequence File properties is only effective if option Allow Other Models is enabled in Configure»Station Options»Model.
