mfc140.dll Missing Error When Starting TestStand

Issue Details

After installing TestStand and restarting the computer, I receive the following error pop-up.
 
The program can't start because mfc140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. 
 
 
 

Solution

This error occurs because one of the software components (DLL files) needed for TestStand to run was not installed along with TestStand. The mfc140.dll file is part of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 RC package.

The first step you should take is to repair TestStand Installation. If the problem persists, try the following steps:
  1. Download the package from Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 RC.
  2. Install both x64 and x86 package versions by running the downloaded .exe files.
